Core Curriculum

Yoga Alliance has implemented a new RYS 200 Standard which we follow:

Danny Arguetty

(he/him/his)

East-RYT 500, is the Mindfulness Manager at the University of Washington, yoga teacher (& trainer), life/health coach, health educator, and lover of the environment. He is the author of Nourishing the Teacher: Inquiries, Contemplations & Insightson the Path of Yoga and The 6 Qualities of Consciousness: Practical Insights from the Tantric Tradition of Yoga.

Danny has guided workshops throughout the United States, led basic and advanced yoga trainings in the U.South. & Bharat, and has spoken at Facebook, Olson Kundig and Gravity Payments, every bit well as the University of Washington Foster School of Business, School of Medicine, School of Social Work, and The Whole U. Ashwini Sadekar

(she/her/hers)

Ashwini is a Yoga and Bollywood Dance instructor at the Academy of Washington. She is a certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher specialized in offering yoga support during prenatal and post-partum. Ashwini has guided various yoga classes in person and online, co-facilitated Yoga Instructor Grooming (YTT) and conducted meditation and prenatal yoga workshops at UW. Ashwini'due south yoga teachings extend beyond Asana practice into honoring yourself and your physical body with compassion to observe and strengthen the mind trunk breath connection. Derek Harris

Derek has been a yoga student for over a decade and a instructor for the past several years. He has taught yoga online, through UW Recreation, and the YMCA of Greater Seattle. A lifelong educatee, Derek is currently in graduate school at Seattle University for a Masters of Psychology in pursuit of becoming a clinical therapist. He is an advocate for using somatic movement as an exploration of the self and to gain deeper agreement of the emotional states that alive inside the torso.
